The Penhelig Arms began life as a row of fishermen's cottages and is now a small boutique hotel and restaurant overlooking the Dyfi Estuary at the eastern end of Aberdyfi. It's a lovely spot for a meal or a drink with the water just across the road — real ales, a good wine list and quality cooking, with outdoor seating for warm evenings. The views across the estuary from the front terrace are some of the best of any pub in the area.
